As much as I have stumbled upon its inside pages, I am surprised I never realized what a good resource MOBYlives is, especially for publishing news which is updated every week as a resource to other newspaper and online outfits.

Just discovered a new culteral magazine, nowCulture dot com , which seems to be very poetry heavy, at least at first glance. Nice, plump poetry exhibits with several poems by single poet, plus composition process (Franz Wright ) or multimedia settings (Laura Solomon ). One poem even included audio (Andrew Zawacki ).

Donald Hall has a new prose work over at the Academy of American Poets (poets dot org ) called Death to the Death of Poetry . Among other things, Hall describes poetry to be considered a vacuous synonym for excellence or unconsciousness , describing a great frustration of my own when trying to search for poetry on the internet. The keyword poetry is almost useless. Substituting with the keyword poet helps a great deal, but has the disadvantage of any work-around. For many examples of this, one need only to check out Laurable dot com's very own newsfeed which is generated using the keywords poet poets poetry poem and poems . Well over half of the articles produced will not be about poetry in any way. There is also an interview with Donald Hall. It is new to Poets dot org, but was originally published in 1993.
