On this day in 1347, Frances Petrarch was found dead by his daughter Francesca, slumped over his desk as he worked on yet another great work. As one writer put it; He died with a pen in his hand, and Laura in his heart.
Tomorrow is the birthday of Petrarch as well as my own.

Poets dot ORG has a new design and backend. It looks like my poet bio pages are now broke. How difficult could forwarding have been?!?!?!?!?!?!?
This week's featured poet is Ted Berrigan.
Also featured is A Walk Through the SoHo Historic District with Walt Whitman, which is basically walking down Broadway from above Houston to City Hall. Turns out I've been imaging Pfaff's (basement) Cafe on the wrong side of the street.
Audio is now delivered via a Macromedia Flash Player. Go listen to Dream Song 1 by John Berryman.
